Ring of Kerry Irish Dancers

preserving the cultural tradition of Irish ceili and set dancing since 1991

About Us: Parades and Performances

The group usually participates in three parades each year:

Parades are a great way for all members to join in the fun---you can dance down the street, just walk, hand out flyers, or carry the banner.

Throughout the year we receive invitations to perform at private events, senior centers, festivals, etc. in the Washington area.

Everyone in the group is encouraged to participate in our performances, but it is not mandatory.  Our shows usually consist of a few performance dances and some audience participation dances.

Members who are interested in performing need to attend extra practices (with times to be announced) and need to wear a costume, as described in our brochure. These are the dances we typically perform.

If you want to perform, you must come to extra practices as often as possible. On the day of the festival performances, please be at the place at least one hour before our performance time.  Arrive 30 minutes early for other events.

If you have an organization - school, club, etc. - that is interested in having us perform, please contact us using the link at the bottom of this page.
